Missouri nurse gets probation for stealing leftover fentanyl from hospital

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 09:28:25 GMT

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - A Missouri nurse who stole fentanyl left behind at a hospital while working has been sentenced to three years of probation. A federal judge also ordered the nurse, 35-year-old Lindsey Francis, to 200 hours of community service and a $5,000 fine. She will also be required to undergo drug treatment and will be tested in random drug screenings. Illinois village keeps flooding and no one knows why Francis was formerly a nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. According to an indictment, in January 2022, a colleague discovered a used syringe in a locker room in the hospital’s emergency department. Investigators determined it had been tampered with and later determined that Francis had used it due to work and personal stress, per the indictment. Authorities say less than four grams of fentanyl were stolen. Prior to her sentencing, Francis pled guilty to one count of unlawfully acquiring a controlled substance earlier this year.

Suzanne Santo at the Moroccan: Suzanne Santo spoke to us in 2017 when she said of the HoneyHoney hiatus, “We’re the best of friends, but we wanted to try something different. We still champion each other, and are so supportive and excited. It’s a departure, but I still run a lot of big decisions by Ben and vice versa. We still figure it out as we’re trying solo stuff out.” Six years later and her solo career is in full swing. Catch her with Joshua & the Holy Rollers.Of the 2017 Ruby Red album, she said, “I was in a darker place then. Cathartically coping with some of the more difficult things in life, one of them being myself. You’re always learning. It’s not a ‘fuck you’ album. The whole album’s about accountability.
